This is a recording of a workshop taught on May 2, 2024. 

In this workshop, Dr. Allie Melendez and Chelsea Pace discuss sexual health relevant to intimacy professionals' work. We examine the big-picture concepts around sex, gender, sexuality, and risk. This workshop is designed to answer the important questions intimacy professionals have about what role we play (and what role we don’t) regarding actor health. 

About Dr. Allie Melendez

Dr. Allie Melendez (she/her) specializes in teaching comprehensive sexuality education using harm reduction strategies for K-12 students, their educators, and their caregivers in Los Angeles.

Dr. Allie’s doctoral dissertation “From ABC to STD” explores human sexuality from in-utero development to age 18 to give educators and caregivers an understanding of why comprehensive sexuality education is both essential and developmentally appropriate at every age.
