Intimacy Professional or Hard Conversation Haver?
Why not both?
Intimacy professionals are often called upon to help navigate some of the most challenging interpersonal moments on set or in the rehearsal room. From boundary crossing, to consequences of institutional irresponsibility, to biases against our own roles, intimacy pros need skills to support those heightened conversations.
This workshop will look at strategies for handling tough conversations and major conflict by drawing on principals for non-violent communication, abolitionist and non-punitive models for accountability, approaches for supporting and using non-verbal communication, and deescallation tactics. We will also discuss the institutional uses of these strategies and questions to consider when implementing them to help mitigate potential harm.
What you'll get:
- Three hours of live instruction
- A recording of the session to review or watch later
- One year of access to the Open Intimacy Community Forum
Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of consent and boundaries tools before attending the workshop.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
