Deep breath: it’s time to work on staging non-consensual intimacy. 

In this workshop, we will talk about a range of physical approaches to telling stories of non-consensual intimacy, consent withdrawal, and complicated or unclear consent. We will talk about the physical mechanisms of storytelling and how to stage them thoughtfully and effectively.

This workshop will describe non-consensual moments, moments of withdrawn consent, and moments where consent is unclear or impossible in the storytelling.

The Staging Sex series is all about the choreography: physical storytelling, mechanics, tools, and techniques, grounding everything in adaptability, inclusivity, and a culturally competent context.

Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of consent and boundaries tools before attending the workshop. 

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
